My family and I live in a 1987 single wide mobile home. We just had a insurance adjuster come out and look at our floors. We have "speed bumps" from one end ofthe house to the other. The adjuster says the bumps are caused from the air conditioning vents, that run under the house, sweating. I have never heard of something like this. Can this particular problem actually cause over $7,000 of damages to floors? What could be the cause to this problem and how can it be fixed?

I've never heard of this.. is this bump just down the middle of the home? or end to end, side to side?

The A/C ducts may not be insulated and/or leaking and it is causing condensation to form. Additionally, if you tried to "insulate" the bottom ie by sealing the bottom with styrofoam board, it may prevent drying of the condensation. Your floors will buckle and their will be mold growth.
