upflow horizonal Trane unit is not cooling the small copper tubing going into unit gets hot. The larger copper tubing is room temp. the blower is working. Also Several Dirt Dobbers (wasp like insects) have been coming out of it into the house for ablout 2 months. This unit is in the upstairs. i need help . Any ideas?

Your description leads me to belive either the outdoor fan is not operating or the outdoor coil is dirty. Check both and post back.

thanks, but the outside coil is clean and the outside fan is working.

large coil going into outside condensor is not cold and wet?

inside air handler coil is clean?

Sounds like your freon level is low or it's not being exchanged by the system. Have a pro check the compressor and freon level.

Inside coil clean ? filter clean? Big copper line cold and wet at outside unit? You can have so many ifs ifs here. if its freon you have to call a tech in.
