Placement of thermostat

I want to move my thermostat to an inside sheetrock wall that has a heat duct behind it. The heat duct leads to the second floor. Will this placement negatively affect the reading of the thermostat?

For sure dont put it there. Have even had where a TV is on the other side of a wall from the tstat and that screwed the tstat up.
