I should have known better but I didn't. I had to stain around a china cabinet and then go back and move it. Suffice it to say that the stain in a 1 by 3 area is much lighter. I didn't realize it until 48 hrs after the polyeurethane went on. So the floor is done but there is a small lighter spot that's driving me crazy.
So, How hard will it be to sand down the poly and/or stain in that small area and match the rest of the floor (it needs to go darker). And if it can be done, what's the best way to go about it?
