I just bought a Bostitch floor stapler and have a question on what type of air compressor do I need? I think it says it needs to produce 5 SCFM @80 PSI. Do I need an air compressor that will produce that amount @ 80 PSI (I think a 3HP one would do it)? Or can I get a small 1.5HP from Home Depot that has a range of 70-110PSI and that'll work?

thanks

i bought a 2hp porter cable pancake compressor at home depot. 135psi, 6gal. great machine. came with a couple of nailers. as long as you have the pressure, the size of the compressor won't really matter. it will just cycle on more frequently. with mine, it came on after about 60 staples or so. iirc.
