My sister just had a Bradford White Hydro jet 50 galllon electric water heater installed by a family member that is a plumber who supposedly gave her a "good price". Could anyone tell me tha cost of this water heater (wholesale or retail)? We are not sure if our family member (cousin) actually give us a good price or fleeced us. It was higher than what we would have paid at Lowes. We don't want to discuss it with him until we get a price of the heater itself and I realize ( after searching the web) these are only sold to plumbers. Thanks a lot for your help. We just don't want to be taken just because we are single ladies!

You are comparing an apple to a pear with the names you produced. I cannot go into detail but Bradford White is a good water heater and is considered a good quality water heater.
Even as a plumber I do not know the price of the water heater you had installed. That is political on many fronts since pricing ranges from state to state......even rebates come into play that we are not aware of.
If the water heater is properly installed with no problems, I would make a point of draining it once a year to protect your investment. :coffee:
