Hi,
I am having problems with a emerald 4" light fitting properly in the ceiling. They are the remodel types.

When I push the clips up the can doesn't seem tight to the ceiling. I fitted some halo ones a few months back which were ok. Has anyone come across this before? It seems they may be for thicker drywall (mine is 1/2").

Thks in advance

I don't really know what your problem is, but I've never been impressed with Emerald, and I've always been impressed with Halo.

I must admit at the moment Im not too impressed with them either!

The lip of the can isn't sitting flush with the ceiling. When I push the 4 clips up inside the can its still pretty loose and isn't sitting tight to the ceiling.

I hope this is a little clearer

try cutting some small pieces of wood or shims and place them at point of attachment for the clips ontil they hold tight
