Hi
I have one of those white over the toilet storage cabinets with frosted glass doors. It's one of the cheaper ones. ?MDF or particle board with a white veneer like formica on it. Does anyone know if this can be painted? and if so- how and with what kind of paint? Seems if I sand it, it'll just go through and I'll get sawdust. I just want to change it from the white to a cream color with a bit of a brownish "antiquing" to match a new vanity sink.
thanks,
deb :coffee:

I would wash it down thoroughly, making sure to remove all the contaminants, such as hair spray, soap residue, etc.
Apply a coat of bonding primer, best choice is XIM. (http://www.o-geepaint.com/ArchiCoats/XIM.shtml)
When dry, paint with a latex enamel topcoat, preferably with mildewcide added. Ben Moore (http://www.benjaminmoore.com/wrapper_pg3.asp?L=prod&K=intprods&groupid=23&productid=87#article), Sherwin Williams, and others already have 'kitchen & bath' paints with this already added in. Most of these come in a satin or soft gloss finish.
