I'm getting ready to install Pergo over a 3/4" plywood subfoor. It's in great shape, smooth and flat. My question is what kind of underlayment would work best? I've heard that the cheap foam stuff doesn't do a great job, and sometimes you can actually feel the floor moving. I'm wondering...is poly only used for concrete, or can it be used in this application?
Thanks all !!

Don't lay down poly over plywood. Bad things can happen down the road.
If you have felt movement, it could be because someone neglected to get the substrate "flat" before the floor was installed.
Read your warranty before deciding which foam underlayment to use. Some mfg. require you to use their own branded product to comply with their warranty.
