I am new to this forum, what a fantastic place!! I absolutely hate my marble tiles around my fire place, they are dark green. Is there anyway I could paint over them? I have no idea what to do or where to begin? Please help :)

Thank you!

there is special paint made for use on ceramic tile. maybe you could use that. just beware that whatever you use, it probably won't be super-duper-durable, as in, able to withstand a lot of scrubbing, etc. it would just be mostly decorative, so you'd have to be careful around it & clean it gently, as i'd think it could be scratched off easily.

if the tiles are just on the vertical surface, i'd go for it.

if they're on the horizontal hearth area, and you intend to USE the fireplace, and set logs and/or fireplace implements on it, you might be in for a mess that will eventually look worse than just the green tiles.

Clean the marble, and prime it with XIM bonding primer. (http://www.o-geepaint.com/ArchiCoats/XIM.shtml)
Then top coat it with anything you'd like.
