Hi, my husband and I recently received the Bruce engineered maple plank flooring we ordered, delivered a day early from Home Depot, without our knowledge, and in the pouring rain. The plastic that was covering the pallet of individual flooring cartons was ripped allowing all of the cartons to get significantly wet, and some of the cartons, themselves, were ripped as well allowing the flooring to get wet. We've been running the air conditioning around the clock in anticipation of this flooring, as we have done the past 7 days since we discovered it in our driveway and toweled it all dry. We immediately complained to HD, who advised us to let the cartons acclimate a few days, then see how they look. The planks in the ripped cartons are significantly bowed, and the planks in the cartons that didn't appear to be ripped are slightly bowed. Is this a nightmare install just waiting to happen? Should we send it all back? Sorry so long winded.... Thank You.

 I would definitely visit the store to complain to the manager & insist they make it right. You cannot install bowed flooring and who knows if the straight boards will remain straight for very long. Have them replace the whole lot..they should never have made you try to fix a problem they created, IMO.

Thank you for quickly setting my mind at ease. My husband said the flooring was no good, but agreed to be patient and wait until it fully acclimated. Now I can confidently deal with Home Depot. Thanks again! :)

Yes send it back! On every carton write wet in the same place on each carton. Don't need to make it too big, just big enough that if they send you the same cartons you will know it.

Believe it or not, I have seen homeowners send the same cartons back, TWICE just because I put my mark on them. Had I not put my mark on it, it would have been hard to prove it was the same cartons. The homeowner was livid when I showed her they sent the same flooring back to her after 2 weeks(thats how long they told her it would take to reorder.)
