Our washer spilled water on an oak floor and now the boards are cupped. Is there a fix other than refinishing? If I wait till winter when the humidity gets down to ~40% will they straighten out?

It all depends. Try and dry it all out ASAP. Sometimes to completely dry it out and especially the subfloor beneath, is to remove the flooring to let the subfloor completely dry.

You can let it sit, but chances are, the mold will be really going before the boards reside. Then there is a thing called compression set. :thumbdn:
