How many 90 degree elbows can you have in a 6 in supply line off the main trunk , 1200 cfm blower, without a whole lot of restriction.

a couple of turns usually does not hurt anything, if in doubt upsize to a 8" or 10" line

1 - 90º elbow is = to 1 - 5' section of straight.

I think he is referring to static pressure which is the resistance created by the air trying to move down the duct. Air likes nice smooth straight round duct, it flows along with little resistance in these, if you add a 90 degree elbow or a extra 5 foot length of duct it slows the air (more resistance to movement higher static pressure) additional pressure is required to overcome the static and push the air thru. Use nice smooth round metal duct runs laid out as straight as possible for max airflow, or increase the size to help produce better flow.
