Good evening all,

My husband and I find ourselves having to pull up a hardwood floor that we put down last year when we bought the house. A leak that began during the hurricanes last year here in Orlando (so says Allstate), but really began in March. By the time we noticed it, too late. The floor is glued down to concrete with Bostik Best. Is there a better (quicker)way to get this wood up other than chipping away at it? Also, what is the best way to get the residual glue up off the concrete? Thanking you in advance for your time and help.

Set your circular saw to depth of the flooring. Cut the flooring into squares. The smaller the better.

Rent and electric demo hammer(mini jack hammer) Mine is also a big hammer drill with demo hammer setting.

Buzz the flooring off with a sharpened paddle bit for the demo hammer. A dull paddle bit leaves a lot.

Razor scrape the adhesive, or use a product like Soy-Gel and rinse good, real good.

It is still work! That's why I tell the wife, I'm going to work today. :)

Thanks very much for the advice. We'll be at Nations Rent bright and early tomorrow morning. My other half is taking the day off work to tackle this. As far as the Soy Gel, would that be available at Lowes or H.D? Or do we need to go to a flooring store for this? Once again, thank you for your help. This has been a tough project so far!

Soy-gel maybe at the big boxes, I have not paid attention as I rarely venture into there flooring section, but it may also be in the paint section???? I have no idea. I get it from my loyal distributor.
