Hi, I woke up this morning and my A/C was blowing at 69 degrees but I have my thermostat set at 82. Can you let me know what the problem maybe? I live in Phx and don't want my unit to blow up so I turned it off for a few hours.

Thx-JM

It could be any of several things but I would start with the thermostat provided the unit shut off when you turned it off at the stat. If you had to turn it off by turning off the breaker or line voltage switch it is probably not the stat.
