I have seen a wall treatment that looks like stone. I am told it is crumpled brown paper bag, torn in different shapes. There are different shades on each piece. Okay - so you dip the crumpled piece in the paint, that's one color. Then you redip in another contrasting color? How do you apply it to the wall? If you smooth it out, you smear the color. I would think the last color dipped in would simply cover the first color.
I am sure this technique is not new, I just need some advice on how to do it.
Thank you to anyone who answers!!!

i don't think you dip the paper in paint. i think you get it up on the wall first, and then you can color it however you want. see if any of the info in this previous post (http://forum.doityourself.com/showthread.php?t=204971) can help you.
