Hi I have a 6 yr old Rudd unit and it cools well, but the outside condenser fan is now running constantly. Any ideas on this? I just replaced the thermostat. Thanks!!!

Is the compressor running as well or just the fan alone??
If the compressor is, make sure you don't let it run like this...
If both is running all times, the contactor inside the outdoor unit may be stuck on. (make sure there is no 24 volts going all times to the contactor.)

you'll have to remove the covers and see how it wired.. There should be one contactor that turns both fan and compressor on.. has there been any work done on this before this started??

Now this is unusual, are you 100% sure the compressor is not running also??????? let us know what you find out, the contactor would usually have to be pulled in to make the condensor fan run, which would in turn kick on the compressor unless of course the compressor runs untill it kicks out on low pressure switch or something hmmm Maybe this is a small 1 ton with a 110 volt condensor fan wired into a relay? I am no that familiar with rudd/rheem
