I have a fixture in my walk-in closet that holds one 60 W incandescent bulb. I need a lot more light in my 10 x 10 walk-in. I was thinking that I should use fluorescent to be energy efficient, but I have no idea how large a fixture I should get for this size room. Also wondering if I will have problems with colors using fluorescent, or can I just get the 'warm' fluorescent bulbs. Any advice, please?

I'd go for a 4 foot, two lamp fluorescent fixture. It will need to have a diffuser or a lense on it to meet code. The common name for a fixture like this is a "four foot, two lamp wrap".
I'd go for "K and B" (kitchen and bath) lamps or another lamp that has a color temp of around 3500 K. Warm white lamps are likely to be too "pink".
