I have hair dye stains on my bathroom vanity unit, white semi gloss. How can I remove them?
Thanks

I find if I'm gentle, a paste of baking soda and water rubbed into the stain in small, circular motion often lifts it from hard surfaces (melamine tables, counters, appliances etc.) Or I will try a paste of water and powdered cleanser like comet (but very gently - though use discretion with second suggestion as it could scratch a hi-gloss finish)

good luck

you can try some rubbing alcohol applied to a rag and gentley worked in. If the unit is older and worn or scratched. The dye may of found its way down in the scratches and make removal more difficult.

It is likely that the dye stain is permanent because it has been absorbed by the paint. Test rubbing alcohol first in inconspicuous area for ill-effects on paint before proceeding. As indicated, if stain is small and has not penetrated too deeply into paint, a mild abrasive may offer some results.
