Hi, this is my first post and I'm looking for help. I just finished installing a new ceiling lighting fixture. It worked great when I turned it on, but when I turned it off, it blew out the fuse, and even after I replaced the fuse, it blew out again the same way, working terrifically when turned on, but as soon as it was turned off, the fuse blew out.
The fuse is actually part of the chandelier. This Hampton Bay chandelier has a magnetic coil transformer mounted to the base plate on the ceiling and there is an external fuse in it. This is the fuse that has blown out twice.
I checked up on all the wiring in the ceiling and at the switch with a multimeter and it seems correct. 14 ga (15 amp) 2-1 solid core wire, Black (Hot), White (Neutral), Ground, carrying just about 120V+/-3V.
Any idea why the fuse blows on the transformer when I turn the power off? Thanks very much.

How many wires of each color are at the ceiling box (not counting the fixture wires), and how many wires of each color are at the switch box?
