Ok, here's the deal. I have the KIT-5KMT-34 Easy Lite track lighting kit which has been installed for at least 2 years. I noticed the lights had been flickering lately and sometimes they go deal. Sometime I'll walk into my kitchen and turn the light switch on for them it get nothing. If I clime up to look at it, and remove one of the 5 lights, it comes on. Then I put that one light back in, and it works still. Then, eventuallyl, it craps out again.

I read the product specs online, and read "105 watt transformer" - can I assume the transformer is on the blink? I replaced bulbs proir (2 had gone out) but I replaced them with 50watt instead of 20w - bad idea. It had overheat at that time and that wasn't good either. Anyway, I since replaced the 50w with the 20w (back to normal for a few months now), and now this intermitant problem. Ideas? Transformer?? If so, how difficult is that to replace - I'm pretty handy though. :wall:

I went to my local store to pick up a kit so I can replace the main transformer. Once I found the correct kit - fun, trying to find that - I was golden. All seems back to normal except one attach light which doesn't want to work now - oh well, some light is better than none.

I don't know a whole lot about them but it kinda sounds like how a bad transformer would act. They shouldn't cost too much.
