I have to remove the outdrive from an 87 volvo penta outdrive. Does anyone know if there are any precautions i should take? Does anyone know of a possible website that might have this info without costing me a gallon of gas?

First, you need to get a service manual. Should be able to get one at a book store. Other than that, outdrives are HEAVY. Have some help with you.
