Draperies and Top Treatments - Curtain Hanging problem

I have just had some curtains made in very thick material, they have two pencil pleat tapes on the top and hooks in every single opening rather than every so often, to help them pull them towards the rail, but they still look like old rags hanging at the window and will not gather into neat pencil creases. has anyone got any ideas how to overcome this problem please

you had them made, and they look like old rags? did you pay the maker in full yet? i'd go back & insist they fix them. were they not made correctly or do they just need steaming or what? i'd go to the source.

I am in constant communication with the maker, who has worked for the best Harrods etc she is now in the process of setting up business on her own and is doing her best to rectify the problem of very very thick material not hanging as we both want it to, I have no complaint of how they were made. She is back for the third time tomorrow and I just thought if I could give a few suggestions to help the problem,
Perhaps I am being over eager and in time when the material relaxes a little they will look better, I know she is upset because I am not as happy with them as I hoped I would be.
