Air Conditioning - sharp a/c 8000 btu cuts off

hey there guys ...bought :alarm: a sharp a/c 8000 btu remote control unit, don't use
remote. anyway after the unit runs about 20min, it will cut off and prompt a e1 on control panel....this means to clean filter, well it wasn't even dirty. so i brought the unit back to store, now 1 month later, same problem same unit, but!!!! my daughter's is working fine in her bedroom, same unit. so i can't see 2 units having same problem. when unit is on it works fine, then cuts out after 15-20 min. any help? thanks guys. powers off but outlet is still live not a breaker problem.i unplug unit wait 10sec,then plug back in unit will run then shut down.but will always restart with no problem

i dont know your unit but there must be a senser for your filter you might be able to a just to make it less senitive id chech your owner book or call the company that makes them

i believe unit has an hour timer after so many hours it will kick off telling you to clean filter.can't find any timer without taking unit apart ......orit maybe programmed in there some how?
