Repairing a kodak slide projector which no longer auto-adjusts. I puled thr bottom off
and there's a wee gear wheel which
turns (or is turned by) a worm gear. This wheel is cracked and partially stripped
Can I get this gear wheel? From whom -
factory? dealer?

When I used to be in the repair business, I would get an 800 number for the company and call them. Tell them what you are looking for. Be prepared to call a different number, maybe several, and if you are lucky, they may still stock some parts somewhere. I think the companies that sell replacement gears and mechanical parts for VCRs might also be worth checking if Kodak is not helpful. As a last resort, look for places that repair projectors. Those are hard to find, but they might have a source of used parts. No guarantee they'll be willing to sell the part to you though.

I just did a quick check at http://www.kodak.com and they have a service section on there, with a sub-section for slide projectors. There is an 800 number.

Thank you, ranck. I'll try Kodak.
