The auto insurance BI liability covers all the passengers of first and third party along with the driver if two cars collided. Now my question is of two fold:
1. If more than two cars collided what happens?
2. What will be the role of tort status here?

If one vehicle clearly caused the accident and the police report indicates this, the insurer of that driver will have to pay for all parties involved. All lawsuits would be against that driver as well. It gets mucky if no one driver is the clear cause of the accident.

Is it a camera that will determine who is at-fault? Otherwise each will sue the other.

It is up to the report filed by the responding police officer. Typically he/she will question those involved and any witnesses to determine who was at fault.

It is still certainly possible that drivers will sue each other. That is unfortunately the nature of many people in this country. :(
