I have a JVC TV; never had problems before; don't subscribe to cable services. The picture is bad and I don't think the problem is with the tv but with the connection to the wall antenna (apt. house) Picture quality varies. I have to fool around with the cable leading to the wall connection. The connector doesn't fasten well. I bought a new cable figuring it might be the problem, but when I tried it, it didn't work any better, so I returned it. When I put a tape into the vcr, the reception is OK. I thought the problem is with the roof antenna but other tenants are not having a problem. Any suggestions?

Good Afternoon, Pollynell:
It is safe to assume that the problem is with the signal that is at the connection on the wall. But, a quick check of the connection on the wall may provide the answer to your problems. If other folks before you used the same connection, it may be that the connection plate (and connectors) may be bad. For that, a quick trip to Radio Shack will deliver you a new plate to connect to the wall.
And, you may still need that cable you bought and took back. New connections and new cables always deliver the best results.
