We have a sony tv that the repair place has had. The tv just stopped working no sound or picture no warning. We took it to the repair place it was there for 6 month the first time and the cost was a little over $200.00 main board. We had it back for less than a week turned it on one night and it was stuck in some kind of service mode???
It's been there for almost another 5 months.
This is a sony repair place. The guy there said it must have taken a power surge?????
I dought this so what is taking this so long for repair??? Anyone know how or have a phone # to sony?
Thanks so much for your time.

Good Morning, toni:
Sony is one of the hardest companies in the world to contact. Their usual ploy when a customer calls about a problem is to start talking Japanese. Best results are had using the web at http://www.sel.sony.com/SEL/service/

This site contains a list of phone numbers for anyone desiring information.

As I explained in earlier posts, Sony's weak link is the low voltage power supply. Worse, the electronics in this circuit are a little maddening and a little beyond the "run of the mill" technician. When a technician wants to replace an entire circuit board, you can imagine that he is guessing.

 Smokey
