I have a 1950's pink bath (tile floors and walls 1/2 way up, pink sink and tiled counters, pink shower and commode) I was planning on using Behr's Bacchus Red Venetian Plaster to accent it, but then I saw a sample board at Home Depot that showed the VP applied over Crackle Paint. It looked pretty neat - and I thought it might be less of a contrast if I painted the wall a med. rosy beige, then painted on the crackle paint, then the deep red VP. I have painted the walls the med. beige, but when I started to put on the crackle paint it said it wasn't recommended for walls. Has anybody tried this - am I getting into a big mess? Help please.

I put the crackle on the walls, waited a couple of hours, then started with the VP. (I did do a small sample board and it was just OK - but decided it was because I had put it on too thick) I was putting on a very thin layer of VP, but as I went back into the VP it would just come off of the wall. I just left it as it is drying into the crackle and I don't know how I am going to finish it.....besides just sanding down the walls and starting again. Any ideas - anyone?
