Hello...was wondering if you could help me with a simple problem. I have two bathrooms with a vanity light in each that share the same wall. We have remodeled both bathrooms completely and I am trying to connect the two vanity boxes back together and my notes were not as thorough as they should have been. Each light fixture has a switch loop. However, One light box was drawing it's power from the other one. I just need to know how to connect the two light boxes back together so that i get power to both. I'm working with 12/2 wire. I know how to wire the switch loop for the one bathroom where the supply cable is going directly to its box, but I cannot remember how to then connect the two boxes so that that same supply cable goes to the other bathroom light. Any ideas?

I could be clearer if you had listed exactly what cables you have to work with in each box. But here's the general idea.
At the fixture#1 box where power comes in: Power black wire to the white wire going to switch#1, and to the black wire going to the fixture#2 box. Power white wire to the white wire from fixture#1, and to the white wire going to the fixture#2 box. Black wire from switch#1 to the black wire from fixture#1.At fixture #2 box: Black wire coming from the fixture#1 box to the white wire going to switch#2. White wire coming from the fixture#1 box to the white wire from fixture#2. Black wire coming from switch#2 to the black wire from fixture#2.At each switch, simply connect black and white wires to the two screws on the switch. And of course connect all grounding wires and screws in each box. And of course use a black marker to reidentify both ends of the white wires to the two switches.

Thank you! That was exactly what I needed to know. It couldn't have been more clearer. I'll give it a try and let you know if I need any more help.
