Can a 12V or 24V rope light ceiling cove installation be done this way?
The feed from the transformer is hard-wired directly to the fitting at the end of the rope, and the feed and fitting are buried in the adjacend wall.

Low-voltage connections can be "buried", but line-voltage connections cannot. Since the transformer has a line-voltage connection, it cannot be "buried".
Follow all manufacturer's instructions.
