Hello All,
Just recently my shower started only outputting hot water. It's a relatively new house, so I was wondering what could cause this. It seems no matter what position the knob is in, only the hottest of water will come out, as if maybe a valve is stuck or something...but I was hoping yall could give me more insight into what I should try and check and possibly replace.
Thanks.

I have 2 guesses.
1. Check and see if there is possibly a cold water shut off valve installed specifically for the shower and make sure it is turned on.
2. The interal part of the faucet may have broken in the hot position therefore any position you put the handle in it will remain in the hot position cause you can not control the mixing valve.
I would guess it to be the latter of the two and suspect something came unscrewed inside and maybe all you would have to do is disassemble it and reassemble it. Once inside you could determine the cause of failure and at worst replace the faucet. Hope this helps you!
