My Father recently baught the bike and had it restored. The bike has working nice, with the exeption of a few minor bugs.(fuel line popping off/shock not tighted properly). No biggie. But the new problem is the battery is dead.Took it back to manufacturer and they said it tested fine but it may not be a big enough battery for the bike.Anyhow with it recharged the bike held the charge for apx.6 hours. Now in saying this on his bike theres a amber light in the gauges to let you know if the headlamp is out.At night you can see it dim. There was a problem with the light not comming on.It sounds like there may be a bad ground?Im not too familiar with motorcycles. After spending this money to have the bike restored he would like to be able to enjoy it!Any help would be great thanks. :wall:

check grounds, in the headlight, tailight, turn signals.

make sure they are clean and making good contact.

check your alternator wires, make sure no burn thru or grounding.

you did not mention if the 6 hours was from sitting or 6 hours of riding.

if the alternator is not working right, you are running everything off the battery.

for a manual try e-bay or search forums for one, I know they are not cheap from the dealer.

And if you got a volt reader, is a way to check sections of the wiring for bad connection or extra current draw.

hope this helps some,
