Hello! I am looking for help on painting/decorating my bathroom with a serene beach/get-away feel. Currently, our tub, toliet and shower walls are white. Our sink is sand colored and is set into an old desk, which the previous owners painted cotton candy pink. The desk will have to be repainted, and the countertop covered.
Here is the shower curtain that I am going to use in the bathroom. http://www.bedbathandbeyond.com/product.asp?order_num=-1&SKU=105555&RN=10
It is the starting point for all of my other colors. I would like to incorporate more beach colors, such as tans, greens and blues, but am not sure how to do this and keep the serene feel. Any suggestions are more than appreciated. Thank you!

hmmm.........that shower curtain doesn't say "beach" to me, so i think you'll have to use a lot of beachy/nautical accessories, like sea shells & whatnot. i think i'd go with a nice seafoamy green/blue on the walls - a little deeper than the towels shown next to that shower curtain. then using sandy-colored rugs (the ones that are more like a shag rug) & weathered accessories, that should give a nice beachy feeling.

That is one gorgeous shower curtain! Very, very pretty.
You're so lucky to be working with white fixtures. What is the floor?
I too can picture a pale seafoamy green color on your walls. And perhaps on the sink desk, since it needs repainting anyway.
Personally, and perhaps it's because I've lived my entire life on the beach, I cringe at 'cutesy' beach-themed rooms/homes. I much prefer more 'spa' and 'retreat' style rooms, which is sounds like you're going for? This being the case, I'd avoid things like shell wallpaper borders, or shell-framed mirrors, etc. But use subtle touches...and perhaps have just one place in the room where shells/beach glass is represented. Perhaps a glass dish with a pillar candle, surrounded by a small grouping of shells/sea glass.
