About a month ago, I accidentally locked my cat in the guest room for 3 hours in which he urinated on the futon mattress. A friend of mine told me to use vinegar to get the odor out. However, now I don't know how to get the vinegar stains out. Can someone offer help/tips to this problem? Thanks.

I would suggest using a enzyme cleaner. Apply lightly to the area...do not soak as the mattress is basicly a giant sponge. Let dwell 10-15 mins blot wih warm water. My thoughts on this are...no matter what you try your not going to effectively remove the odor. Vinegar will help with the odor but will not remove the source so the odor will come back. Other alternative is to get a mattress cover and zip the odor in.
