I rent my house, and the tile in my bathroom is a hideous shade of 50's pink and blue. I would like to retile or paint, but landlord says no... Any ideas on how to turn the tile a different color while maintaining the ability to turn it back? I've lived here 2 years and will be here at least another 2... These colors are giving me headaches.

Sounds like it's time to bring in the cheap area rugs. I don't know of anything that would change the color of the tile and be reversible. You could get a carpet remnant that will be water friendly. For less than $50 a pop you could change remnants when you needed a change of color. I would suggect carpet tiles but sometimes the rubber backing sticks to the flooring and makes a mess to remove. Good luck.

cut-to-fit bathroom carpet for the floor tiles.
if there are wall tiles, it's best to work WITH them instead of against them. incorporate the colors into your decorating scheme & they'll fit right in.
