Is it possible that i have the standard auto policy with an insurance company and buy the comprehensive coverage from another carrier for the same car? Thanks in advance.

Even if this was possible (I don't think it is), I would advise against it. It would be a mess if you were involved in an accident and had multiple insurers to deal with. Plus you would have to remit premiums to different insurers. :thumbdn:

You would definitely be making your life more complicated if you did this. What are your reasons for considering this?
