Is it possible to refinish our door hardware if we cannot find a knocker w/ a built in peephole (see my post below)? How would we go about doing this?

Yes, if you can find someone in your area that does electroplating. I'll send you a link I found on this subject.

if they are brass you can remove them, strip the varnish or poly coating, shine them up, then recoat them with protectant and put them back on. We've done that with hardware on furniture.
