Is it okay to install a wall oven (electric) next to a refrigerator? Or is that discouraged due to the heat from the oven?

We had a remodel guy look at our kitchen and told us that it's not done that way and he would make sure his plans didn't put the wall oven and fridge next to each other.

However, our kitchen was originally done with nice cabinets and quality workmanship, so apparently someone thought it would be okay.

We'll probably change it.

I wouldn't worry about it. Modern appliances are really well insulated (when they need to be). A fridge actually puts out heat to it's exterior as part of the heat exchange process. IMO the only issue re placement of appliances is functionality of the kitchen.

Placeing those two adjacent, heat should not be a concern. Having usable counter space next to each, should be.
