Hello all!
We are replacing our Kwikset brass door hardware with Kwikset oil rubbed bronze, but have a few problems. First of all, we need to find a kickplate in oil rubbed bronze finish to match our new door hardware- where can we go to find this?
Second, we are needing to replace our door knocker. It is a standard looking door knocker, except for one thing- the peephole is built right in, at the top of the knocker. We have seen some door knockers w/peep holes out there, but the peepholes are always in the middle of the knocker, not at the top. Also, of course the knocker must be an oil rubbed bronze finish. The only other thing I can think of would be to stain the hardware an oil rubbed bronze finish, but I don't know if that is possible. Of course we could just get a whole new door, but I would rather avoid that if we can. The door would not look too bad with the brass that is already in place, had that brass not already basically flaked off the hardware (we tried using Brasso to clean it up when we discovered this). Thanks for the help!
Beth
