I am installing new cermanic tile and backerboard in my bathroom. Unfortunetely, this is going to raise my toilet approx. 3/4".

What is the best way to tackle this problem? Do they make any type of adapter for this problem?

Thanks

I don't know, but you are smart to investigate- my sister's toilet was raised a little b/c the old owner had put new flooring right on top of the old. SO the seal kept breaking and water was pouring through the family room ceiling. Is there anyway to bring the floor line down by taking something out before you put the backer board down?

There are flange extension rings made just for what you are doing. These are solid plastic and come in several thicknesses. Read and then follow the instructions.

Go to any decent hardware / big box store or even a nice plumbing supply house. All will have everything you need.

More problems, ask in this thread and someone will respond...good luck.

It's called a hammer and chisle, but it looks bad when you done. It's easier to just use a flange extension.
