I am trying to decide weither to just buy a plastic gas tank or wled myself one that i like better. I am thinking of at least a 7 to 10 gal tank. I dont want to have to worry about refilling that much. How hard would it be to weld one up? Do i have to worry about pressure testing a metal one? Or can i just fill it up and look for leaks that way?

Making a fuel tank is pretty easy. Making a strong and lightweight tank is more difficult. I guess it depends on how good you are at welding long seams of thin metal.
If you want to buy a tank you could try looking at marine fuel tanks. They come in many shapes and sizes so you might find just what you are looking for.
