Just moved to the Denver area.... (Mile High City). Noticed my Supra is not accelerating as well as I'm used to - especially when under load (pulling 1-3 slalom skiers up) - and my top speed is about 5 mph less than what I'm used to.

Then today it hit me when I skied - and smelled gas behind the boat .... I'm at altitude. My 850 Holly (in a 351 Ford inboard) is running richer than normal - probably the cause of my problems.... Any suggestions for "rejetting" the carb"?

Anyone have any experience with a similar situation

You should pull a plug or to and see how they look. Not sure which cylinders run lean on a 351 but I tend to check 5 & 7 on my BB chevy. Holley carbs are easy to rejett. Here is a link on how to read plugs.

Thanks... she's, without a doubt, running rich....... and I'll rejet the carb.... I've been advised to advance the timing 1 degree per thousand ft. in elevation....... thoughts?
