I just received from family a large china cabinet and matching game table. These are from the late 1960's and high quality. The age has showed and I am in the process of gluing and screwing the legs together. This was the only structural problem. The finish is an avacado/antique green with black woodgrain, black paint in routed leg detail with a light covering of small black "specks" covering the entire finish. Question-I can match the green and repaint, but what to use to highlght the grain with a touch of black, also is there a light black "splatter" spray paint that might work for the "specks"? Thanks

If the grain is pronounced, you may be able to wipe on - wipe off the black, leaving it in the grain (after painting the green base coat).
If there is a dealer in your area for Mohawk products, they make a "spatter" aerosol in several different colors. I suggest a dealer, because Mohawk has an $80 minimum for ordering direct from their factory...
PS - pure black is rarely used for this - it's usually a very dark brown.
