Hello,
We are purchasing a home with everything electric- heat etc. We are assuming we will need to convert to gas. There is a already a gas line from street to front of house. What type of work will this entail and what type of costs? We are in the Boston area and it is a colonial house...

Around here the utility company will run it to the house and install a meter for $2,000 the last I heard. If they don't do it you need to call someone liscensed to run gas and get some estimates.
