Hey folks, I am changing my Carrier T-Stat to a Honeywell. The challange is the wiring diagrams.
Wires on carrier model goes as follows:
Red wire to "R"
Yellow To "Y/Y2"
Green to "G"
Black to "C"
White to "W/W1"
Orange to "O/W2"
Honeywell has these connections:
C Aux
G E
Y L
O/B
RC
R
I will not be using the E & L terminals.
I have a Heat pump with auxilary heat.
The 2 wires I am having a hard time to figure out are the White (W1) and the Orange(W2). The instructions in the manual aren't clear on this.
Where should these 2 wires go on the Honeywell T-Stat? Of course this is the weekend and Honeywell is closed until Monday.
Any help is much appreciated.
Thank you
Jason

Hello
Your new thermostst is a single stage t-stat. In your t-sta put your 2nd stage wire under your W/Y so that your 2nd stage come on when your first stage come on. Or you can disconnect your 2nd stage wires in your unit.
