I used non sanded grout, it is way too shallow and I have found out that i needed to use sanded for the type of job I have. Can i simply add Sanded grout on top of the shallow non sanded grout?

What size are the joints and type of tile?, you need to get out at least 2/3rds of what is there now.:)

they are 16 x 16 tile. some spots are 2/3 others maybe a little higher. everything else is fine except for the grout. would it be a bad thing if it were greater than 2/3rds in spots and i applied new grout? this is for a rental home that I don't plan on the flooring lasting for years on end, is it worth the trouble in romoving the parts that may be slightly higher than 2/3?
