I recently received thermofoil cabinets from Thomasville and have to attach the hardware (pulls) myself. Just wondering if there is anything special that should be done when drilling the holes (i.e. putting masking tape on it first), and should I drill through from the front or the back of the door? Also I was wondering when installing the cabinets, it is recommended to attach the cabinets to each other through the frames or stiles (?), but these are frameless so does it matter where?

Thanks for your advice.

Drill from the front, and a scrap of wood held on the inside will prevent blow out.
Put the attachment screws so that they are hidden by the hinge brackets where possible. Did they also provide screw caps, little plastics with an "X" on the concave side, which are used for screws placed in exposed areas.

Thank you for that advice. There are little plastic things in the package with the screw but I didn't look at them closely and assumed they were extra 'bumpers' to keep the door from banging when closing but maybe they are screw caps. I'll take a look at them when I get home.

Thanks again :)
