I placed a bottle of SoftScrub Gel w/ bleach on the edge of our stainless steel kitchen sink without thinking and it leaked on it. It was only setting there about a minute or two but it left a stain in it's place. It's almost as if it bleached it somewhat. I read on the bottle that prolonged use on metal can damage the metal but it was only there a minute or two. I guess it must be powerful stuff to stain/bleach that fast!
Does anyone have any ideas as to how I can clean the stain? The stain is just a lighter/brighter ring of the stainless steel sink. It's not discolored
or anything like that. The only idea I can come up with is to basically let some more sit on the sink all over so the entire sink would now be bleached
lighter as well. I don't know if that's so good of an idea though. Any ideas as to how to get the stain out? Thanks!

Rub stain with a quality metal polish and soft cloth. Rub in direction of grain if you have brushed stainless steel.
