When I put the tile on with thinset will it stay in place until it dries? If not how do I support it? The edge will be 2 inch X 12 inch marble tile.

Thanks!

The thinset alone won't hold the tile in place. Place the tile and then use a long piece of tape (green masking) that runs across the countertop and wraps over the countertop edge...suggest using a few to hold one piece (don't just attach one piece to the center). This should allow the thinset to cure without you having to worry about the edge pieces.

If you can temporarily screw a ledger board into the bottom side of the countertop it will provide support to the tiles while the thinset dries overnight.
